As we originally communicated in March 2015, new Office 365 subscription plans no longer include the SharePoint Online public website feature. We notified all Office 365 customers currently using this feature that they could continue using this feature for a minimum of two years. We have published multiple reminders since then. Beginning October 2, 2017, we are deleting Public Sites in SharePoint Online. Your Public Site will be impacted unless you have postponed the deletion.More …

Sep 14 We’re making some changes to SharePoint Online pages
We’re making some changes to SharePoint Online pages running the classic user experience. We’re changing the default document mode of all classic pages to be Edge mode, instead of Internet Explorer (IE) 10 mode. This change does not apply to sites that are using custom theming, or sites that have the modern list experience disabled at the site or tenant level. The new admin center makes these items accessible directly from the home page. The home page also proactively surfaces information important to you, such as notifications from the Message Center.
