In a rapid change of Office 365, Microsoft sends to Tenant Admin’s the news about what is changing and what is coming in Office 365.

This is the 457th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Microsoft 365 Message center announced major updates, including Copilot Chat availability in Outlook shared and delegate mailboxes starting April 2026, and Teams meeting recording expiration notification emails disabled from June 1, 2026.

Always-on diagnostics for Endpoint DLP will be enabled by default on Windows devices from mid-April 2026; admins can opt out.

Microsoft Defender for iOS ends support for iOS 16 devices on April 30, 2026; organizations should upgrade affected devices.

SharePoint One-Time Passcode retires August 31, 2026, transitioning to Microsoft Entra B2B for external sharing and authentication.

SharePoint Add-Ins, SharePoint Framework domain isolated web parts, Azure ACS, and SharePoint 2013 workflows retire April 2, 2026; organizations must migrate to supported solutions.

Anthropic models will be enabled by default in Copilot experiences from January 7, 2026, with regional exclusions and opt-out options.

Teams Copilot will default to no transcription in meetings starting late April 2026; admins can adjust policies.

New features include targeted file/folder restores in Microsoft 365 Backup (early 2026), modernized Access Request/Denied pages (late March to mid-April 2026), and push notifications in custom branded Power Apps (April 7, 2026).

Copilot Chat and Surveys Agent will be integrated into Microsoft Forms by May 2026; Teams Channel Agent gets workflow enhancements in March 2026.

Teams will enable file sharing in external chats by default from October 2025 to January 2026; admins can disable via policy.

Defender for Office 365 introduces new URBAC permissions and Advanced Hunting actions in early March and April 2026; Unified RBAC enabled by default for new tenants May 30, 2026.
