In a rapid change of Office 365, Microsoft sends to Tenant Admin’s the news about what is changing and what is coming in Office 365.

This is the 478th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Resume “Summary” from Microsoft 365 Copilot:

Microsoft 365 Message Center weekly digest covering multiple service updates across Teams, Copilot, Entra ID, SharePoint, Windows, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Purview, Defender, and Planner, mostly rolling out between mid-2026 and late 2026.

Key enforcement and deprecation timelines include: Entra ID custom CSS retirement by October 2026; Microsoft Bookings EWS-based controls retirement on August 5, 2026; and SharePoint Embedded driveItem.webUrl behavior change starting mid-August 2026 with opt-out until February 22, 2027.

Microsoft Teams updates include UI/meeting experience changes starting late July 2026, mobile calendar update requirement by early October 2026, new AI meeting features (recaps, notes, Facilitator, and Copilot integrations) rolling out September–November 2026, and various meeting/chat and admin improvements.

SharePoint and Whiteboard changes require attention, including legacy Whiteboard retirement by September 2026 with migration deadline of August 22, 2026, and ongoing SharePoint scripting and publishing restrictions already in effect or rolling out.

Security and compliance-related updates include Conditional Access enforcement changes starting June 15, 2026, AD FS DKM hardening enforcement beginning October 2026, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 encrypted attachment protection rolling out August 2026.

Copilot and AI enhancements across Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sales, Planner, and Copilot Studio) introduce agent workflows, scheduling automation, contextual insights, and new editing and productivity features rolling out mainly from mid to late 2026.

No explicit action deadlines are required for most updates, but several require administrative review or preparation (notably migrations, policy updates, and app compatibility checks ahead of rollout dates).
