Major updates include Microsoft 365 Copilot accessing Microsoft Viva Engage content starting mid-January 2025, and Unified App Management for Teams apps rolling out in January 2025.
The new Outlook for Windows will open web links in Microsoft Edge side-by-side with emails, with rollout completing by mid-January 2025.
Microsoft Purview eDiscovery is modernized in the new Purview portal, with General Availability in February 2025.
Viva Learning’s AI and Copilot Resources Provider visibility rollout is updated to late December 2024 to early January 2025.
Microsoft Teams will allow file open preferences for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files across more Microsoft 365 apps starting late February to mid-March 2025.
Microsoft Copilot in Edge will add page summarization and contextual queries starting mid-January 2025.
The new Outlook for Windows will support managing emails in PST files starting mid-January 2025.
Microsoft Defender for Identity will update Secure Score recommendations starting mid-January 2025.
Microsoft Teams will allow sharing of Meeting recap links starting early February 2025.
Microsoft Purview Information Protection will enhance OCR support for embedded images starting mid-January 2025.
Microsoft Teams will allow adding Copilot agents to group chats starting early February 2025.
Microsoft Copilot introduces a user control for web searches starting mid-January 2025.

The new admin center makes these items accessible directly from the home page. The home page also proactively surfaces information important to you, such as notifications from the Message Center.
