This is the 463th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Microsoft 365 Message center announced major updates for April 13–19, 2026, including out-of-band Windows Server updates to address April security issues and new safeguards for Remote Desktop connections.

Microsoft 365 introduces modernized change management, enhanced Copilot features, and new AI-powered tools in SharePoint, Power Apps, and Teams, with several features rolling out from April to June 2026.

Support for Office LTSC 2021 ends October 13, 2026; organizations should plan upgrades to avoid risks.

Multiple Copilot enhancements are launching, including metrics, intelligent summaries, personalized responses, and expanded analytics, with general availability between April and May 2026.

Teams updates include new transcription options, improved breakout room assignments, ad-hoc room reservations, and a simplified app bar, with most features enabled by default and rolling out through May and June 2026.

Microsoft Purview updates include new role management, glossary migration tools, sensitivity label inheritance for Teams meeting artifacts, and AI observability for agents, with key rollouts in May and July 2026.

Power Platform and Dataverse introduce new compliance features, agent supervision, and data export options, with deadlines and general availability dates in April and May 2026.

Important deadlines: DigiCert Global Root CA (G1) distrust starts April 15, 2026; Conditional Access changes on May 13, 2026; Office 365 Connectors in Teams retire May 18–22, 2026; Power Apps online mode available May 18, 2026.

Some unresolved issues include temporary delays in Purview Communication Compliance processing (until April 30, 2026) and a delayed Scan Cab release for April 2026 security updates.
