In today’s fast paced world, you can’t afford to be away when you are on the go. Whether you are traveling, working from a remote location or sitting in a coffee shop, we’ve heard loud and clear that you want the same rich functionality of Microsoft Office applications everywhere—on all of your devices and platforms—so you can work in a variety of situations. During the past couple of weeks, we have made several big announcements that demonstrate how well we are leading the way into the mobile productivity space.

After unveiling Windows 10, we announced our plan to deliver touch-optimized versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. These touch-first, mobile-first  “universal” apps are built from the ground up to run on Windows 10 small screen devices like your phone and tablet—all the way up to the Microsoft Surface Hub, no keyboard or mouse required. You can get in on the action and get early access to the Office for Windows 10 Preview by joining the Windows 10 Technical Preview. We’ll also be launching Office 2016 later this year, the new version of our classic Office desktop suite. But our new Office innovations aren’t limited to Windows. We’re making Office available everywhere.

We also announced the availability of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Android tablets, all beautifully optimized for the Android platform. And we announced the release of Outlook for iOS and a preview of Outlook for Android, both important steps forward in making it easier for you to share files and manage your email and calendar from all of your devices. Finally, we extended the power of OneDrive for Business to Mac and iOS devices, to help more users access, manage and share their OneDrive for Business files from anywhere and on any device.
