Sway is reimagining what it means to be productive in a mobile-first and cloud-first world. It’s an intelligent app that helps you easily pull together, format and share your content in a way that’s expressive and interactive. We’re making progress during Sway Preview by learning and adapting to feedback from customers and improving the product together.
We’ve also been hard at work testing how to best optimize Sway’s new authoring experience for people who want to quickly and easily create polished, interactive content from their mobile devices. We initially released Sway for iPhone just in New Zealand, to learn and make updates before we released in Australia with an updated version. Since then, while we’ve made some performance and network quality improvements, we’ve been seeing a positive response to the mobile experience for Sway in general.
So, today we’re excited to announce that we’re ready for a much wider set of people to use Sway for iPhone, so we can learn from broader growth and usage. Customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, India and a number of other countries where English is an official language*, in addition to Australia and New Zealand, can now download Sway for iPhone from the App Store. You can log in with the same Microsoft account on the web and Sway for iPhone to access and edit your Sways across devices.
Similar to opening Sway Preview on the web more broadly in December, we’ll use Sway for iPhone’s wider availability to continue responding to feedback and improving the app experience. We have a dedicated forum on UserVoice specifically for gathering feedback related to the Sway for iPhone app. Please let us know what you like, what you don’t like and what you want to see us add. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Going big with Sway for iPhone in lots of English-speaking markets is an exciting step.
