Fresh updates are available now for the Office Mobile app for Android phones, making it easier to access, edit and share online Office files from your Android phone.

New Sharing links to OneDrive files right from Office Mobile on your Android phone

With this release, we are adding the ability to generate and share links to documents in your OneDrive and OneDrive for Business right within the app. To share a link, simply open a document from your OneDrive or OneDrive for Business, tap on the context menu, tap Share and then choose Email as link.

New Dropbox support

Two weeks ago we announced a partnership with Dropbox to make it easier for Dropbox users to use Office on their phones and tablets. Since then we shipped updated apps on iOS to enable a seamless connection between Dropbox and Office for easy access, editing and sharing—right from Word, PowerPoint and Excel apps.

With today’s update you’ll get the same integration in Office Mobile for Android phone, including the ability to:

  • Add Dropbox as an online storage location.
  • Browse your files on Dropbox from your Office Mobile app for Android phones.
  • Use Office Mobile app for Android phones to edit your Dropbox files, and automatically save them back to Dropbox.
  • Share your files, right from Office Mobile for Android phones.
