New Teams features include custom immersive event templates (mid-February 2026), increased private channel limits and compliance migration (October 2025–January 2026), and automatic EXIF data removal from shared images (early 2026).

Viva Glint is enhancing focus areas, retiring goal periods, and introducing a Survey Designer role (mid-February 2026); new granular permissions roll out February 2026.

Microsoft Loop workspaces will be creatable by all Entra ID users with OneDrive/SharePoint storage (mid-February 2026); departed user content workflows roll out March 2026.

Teams admin center will support rule-based enablement of third-party apps (mid-March 2026); enhanced peripheral data reporting for BYOD spaces starts April 2026.

Power BI SSRS Report Viewer SharePoint Webpart support ends April 13, 2026; organizations should transition to URL-based embedding.

Endpoint DLP-sensitive data alerting retires in Defender by March 23, 2026; switch to Microsoft Purview DLP is required.

Windows Deployment Services (WDS) hands-free deployment hardening begins January 2026; Kerberos RC4 hardening phase starts with January 13, 2026 updates.

Anthropic models will be enabled by default in Copilot experiences starting January 7, 2026; admins can opt out.

Viva Engage communities integrate into Teams (March–April 2026); new admin export features for Engage settings available late January 2026.
