Resume “Summary” from Microsoft 365 Copilot:

Microsoft 365 Message center announced multiple major updates and retirements, including the end of support for review sets in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Content Search cases (from February 16, 2026), and the retirement of the Microsoft Lens app (stores: February 9, 2026; scanning: March 9, 2026).

Mandatory MFA for Microsoft 365 admin center sign-in begins February 9, 2026; admins should verify or add MFA methods to avoid access issues.

SharePoint Online and related legacy features (IDCRL protocol, Add-Ins, workflows, domain isolated web parts, Azure ACS) will be retired between January and April 2026, requiring migration to modern alternatives.

New features and changes for Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Copilot, Power Apps, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Entra are scheduled for rollout between January and August 2026, including private chat for meeting organizers, browser selection in Teams Mobile, and enhanced Copilot and automation capabilities.

Several compliance, security, and admin experience enhancements are planned, such as improved quarantine in Defender for Office 365, new request/approval flows for agents, and changes to Purview Data Lifecycle Management cmdlets.

New paid Extended Service Term (EST) replaces the automatic grace period for Microsoft subscriptions from February 9, 2026 (direct) and April 1, 2026 (CSP).

Unresolved actions include updating legacy authentication and web part configurations, migrating to supported platforms, reviewing admin documentation, and communicating changes to users before respective retirement or rollout deadlines.
