This is the 465th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Microsoft 365 Message center shared updates on major Microsoft 365, Teams, Viva, Dynamics, Power Platform, and Copilot features rolling out or retiring between April and June 2026.

Key changes include Copilot Chat expansion in Outlook, retirement of Claude Sonnet 4.5 for Copilot Studio by May 30, 2026, and Teams Phone call transfer improvements starting early June 2026.

Teams private channels migrate to group compliance by April 30, 2026, with increased limits; ownerless channels must be remediated by June 5, 2026.

Engage retires Teams Live Events on May 4, 2026; support continues until February 28, 2027.

Viva Insights export via MGDC retires July 2026; users should transition to Power BI Connector or CSV export.

Teams Together mode retires by late June 2026; gallery view becomes default.

Copilot APIs transition to cloud.microsoft domain by mid-May 2026; admins must update network configurations.

Power Platform backup retention changes from 28 to 7 days starting May 11, 2026; Managed Environments allow extension.

Exchange Online retires legacy TLS 1.0/1.1 for POP/IMAP between July and December 2026; clients must support TLS 1.2+.

Excel Desktop must update by May 27, 2026, to maintain Power Platform Analytical Dataflows connectivity.

SharePoint rolls out a new experience starting May 5, 2026; GA begins mid-June.

Teams will sync recently used emojis across devices by late July 2026.

Teams will change default file open preference to Desktop/Web app starting early May 2026.
