This is the 445th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Microsoft 365 Message center announced major updates including Teams chat with anyone via email (GA Feb 2026), collaborative notes in Teams chats (GA Nov 2025), and increased private channel limits with compliance changes (migration Oct 2025-Jan 2026, new features Feb 2026).

Organizations must update Office apps to version 16.0.18827.20202+ by Sept 2026 (Nov 2026 for GCC/DoD) to retain Read Aloud, Transcription, and Dictation features.

Entra services require trust in DigiCert Global Root G2 CA by Jan 7, 2026, and SharePoint/OneDrive will retire IDCRL authentication by Jan 31, 2026, enforcing modern protocols.

Microsoft Planner will retire several features in early 2026; SharePoint Online will enforce Content Security Policy from Mar 1, 2026, and Teams will add SharePoint agents in Jan 2026.

Copilot updates include new features (e.g., Anthropic models default Jan 7, 2026), usage metrics in Graph API v1.0 (mid-Dec 2025), and enhanced dashboard benchmarks (mid-Oct 2025).

New admin tools: pay-as-you-go billing in Admin Center (Dec 15, 2025), Copilot agent usage reports (preview Mar 2026), and improved troubleshooting in Teams admin center (late Jan 2026).

Security and compliance: December 2025 Windows update available, baseline security mode rolls out Nov 2025-Mar 2026, and new cmdlets for mailbox retention holds (Dec 2025).
