In a rapid change of Office 365, Microsoft sends to Tenant Admin’s the news about what is changing and what is coming in Office 365.

Microsoft 365 Message center announced major updates and new features rolling out between December 2025 and March 2026 across Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, Edge, Copilot, Purview, Viva, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.

Key updates include Edge Workspaces migration (mid-February 2026), Defender Threat Intelligence convergence (by August 1, 2026), Copilot chat enhancements in Outlook mobile (mid-December 2025–January 2026), Teams admin app-centric management (mid-October 2025–February 2026), and auto-archiving in Exchange Online (January 2026).

Teams will gain private chat for organizers (February 2026), rule-based third-party app enablement (mid-February 2026), NDI bandwidth increase (early–mid-January 2026), and flexible meeting layouts (January–March 2026).

Copilot will introduce new chat modes, session persistence, PDF review, meeting RSVP, and voice Q&A/podcast interactions (December 2025–January 2026); admin APIs and usage reports will be available by mid-January 2026.

Purview adds secure cleanup workflows, DLP for SharePoint admin units, and compliance automation; new features for data lifecycle, information protection, and eDiscovery roll out late 2025–early 2026.

Outlook Mobile and Windows will see toolbar customization, automapped calendars, and a new Account Manager (early 2026–March 2026); declined meetings can be hidden from January 2026.

Edge for Business introduces a “What’s New” page, Rewrite with Copilot, and summarization/contextual grounding (late January 2026); EWS access for Kiosk/Frontline Worker licenses is blocked from March 1, 2026.

Quickly access relevant information and functionality from the new home page—The home page has been redesigned with you and your most common tasks in mind—such as adding a user or resetting a password. The new admin center makes these items accessible directly from the home page. The home page also proactively surfaces information important to you, such as notifications from the Message Center.
