Microsoft 365 Message center announced multiple updates and new features for Microsoft 365 services, with key rollouts and deadlines from November 2025 through March 2026.

Major updates include a new Teams Desktop Client process (January 2026), retirement of Insert Document/PPT in Whiteboard (January 2026), and a new Teams calendar experience (November 2025).

External workbook links to blocked file types change is on hold; admins can manage via policy settings.

Action required by March 31, 2026: organizations must switch actionable message integrations to Microsoft Entra authentication.

Copilot features are expanding, including auto-rescheduling, meeting scheduling in chat, and scheduled prompts, with various rollouts from mid-November 2025 to early 2026.

New governance, security, and compliance features are being introduced for Power Platform, Purview, and Teams BYOD onboarding, with some requiring admin setup or review.

Dynamics 365 and Power Platform are adding new features for project operations, expense management, and AI summaries, with general availability on December 26, 2025, or earlier.

Additional updates include improved file transfer for departing employees in OneDrive, a flexible layout for Teams meetings (January–March 2026), and enhanced Copilot and admin center features.

Important events: Tech Community Live AMA session on December 2, 2025; multiple public previews and general availability dates listed for new features.

Unresolved issues include the pending rollout of external workbook link blocking and the Teams web sign-in preview, both currently on hold.

Quickly access relevant information and functionality from the new home page—The home page has been redesigned with you and your most common tasks in mind—such as adding a user or resetting a password. The new admin center makes these items accessible directly from the home page. The home page also proactively surfaces information important to you, such as notifications from the Message Center.
