2014 has been a big year for innovation on Office 365, with Office Mix, Delve and Sway showing just a few of the ways we’ve added more value to the Office family. We’ve added functionality across other platforms, getting great reviews for the Office for iPad and Office for iPhone apps and moving toward general availability of Office for Android tablets in early 2015.
With the work we’ve done, we could easily coast until January, but why stop now? The Sway team recently provided insight behind its development and then expanded the preview to wide availability.
Excel and Lync have seen new features this month, too. Excel users can now embed interactive visuals and pivot tables in blogs and websites. Lync added video calling between Skype and Lync, while also adding new features for Windows Phone and Android. And of course, there’s Insights for Office Online, allowing you to search the web without leaving your document. Going with a holiday theme, the Office Mix team is working through their 12 days of Mixes to show off some of their favorite presentations.
We’re certainly not taking time off for the holidays just yet and the result will be more great new additions in 2015.
Below is a round-up of some key news items from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
