Body:

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” That was the view of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the most innovative thinkers who ever lived. Although Leonardo valued simplicity and made it a cornerstone of his work, he tackled many complex challenges throughout his life. A true Renaissance man, Leonardo used his genius to invent hydraulic pumps, musical instruments and submarines; create works of art that show a mastery of human anatomy and a deep understanding of human nature; and design flying machines nearly 500 years before the Wright brothers launched their first glider at Kitty Hawk.

Like Leonardo, we value both innovation and simplicity. So as we add innovative new features and capabilities to Office 365, we also strive to make it simpler and easier to use. As an example, we recently announced the new Office 365 app launcher for our both business customers, making it easier for you to access, navigate and organize all of the services that make up Office 365. We gave the same kind of easy access to consumers, who can now use the app launcher to toggle between Outlook.com, OneDrive and Office Online. In addition, we made improvements to the options and settings in Outlook Web App, made using Office Mix even easier, and took steps to simplify and improve instant messaging in Lync 2013.

As much as we value simplicity, however, we also have you covered when life gets complicated. Spam and online attacks are a growing threat, and we recently explained how we are constantly improving and evolving Exchange Online Protection (EOP) to help protect you and your business—today and in the future. We also demonstrated how Office 365 protects your data in transit. And just this week, we announced that Office 365 Government now supports customer compliance with IRS 1075, which provides guidance to ensure that the policies, practices, controls and safeguards employed by recipient agencies adequately protect the confidentiality of Federal Tax Information (FTI) and related financial data.

We will continue to work every day to make sure Office 365 remains the best, safest and most secure productivity suite in the world. It’s as simple as that.
